ServiceNow CMDB Administrator

Description: 
Our client has an immediate need for a fully remote ServiceNow Discover and CMDB Administrator.  The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Administrator will have the responsibility for administering the CMDB process, including ServiceNow Discovery processes for the organization. This position will work closely with our client's ServiceNow platform support team and other members of the I.T. department to ensure CMDB completeness, correctness, and overall health, as well as supporting the department in proper use and dissemination of CMDB information to support impact analysis and other common CMDB reporting requests.  The estimated duration is 3 months to start with the possibility of an extension.
 
You will need to have reliable high-speed internet and the client will provide a VDI. The Developer Virtual Desktop Infrastructure allows for entitled users to access a virtual compute asset to complete tasks and processes relative to their role and responsibilities. You will need to have a laptop/desktop to log into your assigned VDI. You will install a VMware Horizon 7 compatible Client for Windows on your personal PC. This PC must have a currently supported operating system, which is regularly patched, and has updated commercial anti-malware software. To efficiently do the work, two monitors and a headset are required. 
 
Must Have:
In-depth understanding and background in ServiceNow CMDB and ServiceNow Discovery
Strong working knowledge of the ServiceNow common Service Data Model (CSDM)
Experience developing and maintaining CMDB technical standards
Experiencing defining, documenting, and implementing CMDB Governance process and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting Discovery errors and warnings
  • Experience modifying and/or creating Discovery patterns
Excellent collaboration & communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to audiences of various technical skills
 
Nice to Have:
Experience integrating ServiceNow CMDB with SCCM utilizing the SCCM Service Graph Connector Detail oriented, can lead and coordinate infrastructure type migration plans.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ITIL Foundations certification a plus
