Description-
Our Gorham, ME client is looking for an Accounting Specialist that supports the accounting department in all areas of finance including inventory management, general ledger, and invoicing in accordance with general business and management policies and practices. In this role, you'll be responsible for assisting and supporting multiple accounting jobs, including but not limited to, account reconciliation, fixed assets audit, financial analysis, and some HR administration.
SUMMARY
The Accounting Specialist supports the accounting department in all areas of Finance including Inventory Management, General Ledger, and Invoicing in accordance with general business and management policies and practices, responsible for assisting and supporting multiple Accounting jobs, including but not limited to; account reconciliation, fixed assets audit, financial analysis, and some HR administration.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Invoice Processing – for North America and Europe
Accounts Receivable Processing, Collection and Reporting
Accounts Payable Processing
Sales Commission Payment processing
Non-Disclosure Agreement documents monitoring and audit
Expense Report (Certify) – Verification and Support for Sales & Marketing
Weekly Payroll Processing and Reporting
Participates in the weekly reporting and analysis, including the month-end close
Maintains Client Properties Accounting and Financial reporting
Budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
Financial analysis on investments such as capex, R&D, etc.
Any other tasks that maybe assign from time to time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduate in Accounting or Business-related degree, with extensive experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll.
Computer knowledge is a requirement, including use of the functions of Excel (advance Excel knowledge is preferred), Word and Power Point.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, in small group situations, and to other employees of the organization.
