We’re looking for new team members to help us forge a brighter future of global supply chain innovation.  We are seeking a skilled DBA in MySQL with pertinent knowledge of other database technologies such as: Oracle, MS SQL, MongoDB, Hadoop or other NoSQL variants. The DBA works on a team of skilled Database and DevOps Engineers.   

Automating operational tasks for MySQL and MongoDB databases 

Assist with Migrations of Database stacks from on premise to cloud. 

Identifying points of failure for Database technologies either on premise or in the cloud, and come up with test plans to simulate the failure 

Standardizing, automating, and documenting the setup of development and production database environments 

Evaluating, building and/or configuring tools for internal use for supporting software engineering best practices 

Owning and driving improvements for building and releasing scripts, tools, and processes, specifically relating to managing databases in the cloud 

Understanding and contributing to the creation of system support documents, operational run books, and build recipes for server configuration 

5+ years of progressive experience with large, complex information 

5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA 

2+ years of experience operating and managing AWS or GCP environments 

2+ years of Linux experience (RHEL preferred) 

Experience migrating Oracle and MySQL databases to the cloud 

Experience in automation and testing via scripting/programming (Ansible / Python preferred) 

Strong experience with infrastructure as code principles (repeatable, scalable, resilient) 

Understanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies
