Extruder Operator

Must have operating knowledge of all three extruders and be able to run them in a safe and efficient manner. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 
1. Must have operating knowledge of and be able to operate all three (3) extruders efficiently and safely. 
2. Must be able to take the extruder apart and put the extruder back together correctly. 
3. Must be able to read and understand a manufacturing work order. 
4. Must be able to make boxes. 
5. Must be able to operate an air- actuated drill. 
6. Must be able to work with hand tools.  
7. Must be able to work with other employees. 
8. Must be able to fill out daily paperwork associated with extruder operation and material traceability. 
9. Must attend all required safety trainings and take an active part in all safety programs. 
10. Must be able to read and understand the production board. 
11. Must be able to do janitorial duties when required. 
12. Must have good attendance.  
13. Other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager and/or Shift Foreman.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: 
High School Diploma or equivalent, previous related job experience  
 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 
Extruder Operator must be licensed to operate forklift truck within 90 days of hire. 
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  
2. Must be able to stand for up to 8-10 hours.
