Our Freeport, ME client is hiring an Account Manager (inside sales) to join their growing sales team. This client offers learning programs, resources, and materials for middle schools and high schools across the country.
In this role, you'll be managing client relationships across the US. There is no travel required aside from potentially 1-2 times a year for conferences. In this role, excellent communication skills are required as well as strong writing skills. Most of the client-side communication will be done via email during this sales cycle.
Create long-term relationships with new and existing customers and be the lead point of contact
Understand the customer’s needs and execute a plan to meet those needs
Develop new business opportunities by contacting prospects, and building relationships
Achieve annual sales quotas
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account issues
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor for key accounts by providing proactive customer service
Negotiate contracts and closing terms and agreements
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs and objectives
Assist with challenging customer requests or issue escalations as needed
Minimum of 2 years of business to business (B2B) sales experience.
Proven success in achieving sales targets in a sales position (or similar)
Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook and Excel
