•       Understand the software development lifecycle and contribute to finding ways to improve the development and deployment cycles of documentation

•       Thoroughly understand the technical solutions we build and the documentation content that introduce, explain and troubleshoot our software

•       Propose technologies / portal / infrastructure to share the online documents with our customers so that they are able to search and access the documents with ease

•       Propose the layout of documentation portal and how it should be organized for each of access

•       Understand the audiences for our documentation and be acutely aware of the important contribution technical documentation adds to a successful user experience

•       Spearhead the recommendation and implementation of Learning Management System 

•       Work proactively in addressing your documentation workflows, deliverables and deadlines

•       Be a mentor to more junior members of the writing team

•       Contribute to multiple, high-profile documentation projects at the same time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven development environment, while maintaining a critical eye to detail and quality

•       Work with the program managers and developers to understand all products thoroughly, including features, functionality, and bug fixes

•       Communicate with team members face-to-face as well as with remote employees via phone and video conferencing

•       Be proactive and resourceful in finding answers to questions using the tools available, seek answers from the right people in the organization, and escalate potential roadblock issues early

•       Participate in special projects and lead initiatives in addition to core writing responsibilities as required

 

•       5+ years of experience in authoring configuration guides, release notes, commands reference guides, installation guides, and user guides

•       User Manuals and On-line help experience

•       Ability to take complex concepts and translate them into plain English

•       Experience creating video scripts and managing video production with multimedia teams
